I think the OP might be referring to the z-fighting (not a perfect term for what's happening, but close enough for forum work) error that's occured since Rev in the different layers of the planet effect, not simply the effect itself.

Dah, sorry didn't see this thread, replied in the other. Same problem. No disco, just plain instant sudden CTD that happens on undocking and jumping. Happens every 3rd or 4th playfield change (whether that be a jump or an undock). Specs: Ath X2 ...

Same issue. And almost same system only replace the Pentium D with an Athlon X2 4200. Drivers up to date as of yesterday.
